What you eat is important in what body image you show. Oily and fatty foods are not avoided not just because they make you fat (though it is frequently the number one reason) but they also affect your skin and the problems of acne and bad blemishes.
There are no clear cut medical explanations to combine the two but many have noted that specific diets cause acne breakouts or not. Like weight-loss, each person’s lifestyle contributes to their acne problems.
Doctors themselves cannot prescribe a healthy diet because there isn’t one. However, they agree that hormone balance and food have some relation.
Diet affects our insulin hormone, the hormone used to break down and store unused food energy for storage later. Insulin affects other hormones too. If there is too much food, insulin will have trouble breaking it down and other hormones will be affected as well, particularly the male ones that will force overproduction of oil.
There are a few tips in what you can eat, what you should eat, and what may be okay for you to eat. Each person has their own tastes, cultures, and habits for eating so one may work and another won’t. Here are just a few:
Eat fewer grains, especially whole grains, as grains will lower your ability to absorb nutrients like zinc which is useful for removing toxins that form the bacteria on your skin that creates acne. Zinc is found in red meat, but do not overdo it.
Caffeine in chocolate and sugar in sweet goods are one to avoid as the sugar content is lunch time for the bacteria growing on your skin.
Eating a high diet in vegetables, fruits, seafood and grass-fed meat will control the insulin levels. Omega-3 fish oil will also keep skin from being inflamed, therefore destroying any necessary environment for acne bacteria.
Fruits and Vegetables have more nutrients and minerals will also remove the toxins that create the bacteria that form of acne. You also absorb the food energy better.
Pure juice form is a good source for Vitamin A and C as well as green tea.
Saturated fats from meat and cheese should be lowered because they are harder to break down and give off extra hormones to any and all glands, including the sebaceous glands, and will excrete excess oil and cause acne breakouts.
Drink lots of water so as to continuously wash out all the toxins from your body and blood flow going to remove faster.
In short, stick with a healthy diet that’s low in fats, high in energy and vitamins and don’t forget to work it off with exercise so you can remove more and eat more later.
