Acne creams – what works, what doesn’t, and what’s the point
JOHN ALEXANDER L. NICOLAS
There are many acne creams in the market and the best results are only shown if you try them. While you may have to go through many creams to find the most workable (and less irritating), you could be spending a lot of money to do so.
Here are a few suggested products majorly agreed by most users online with opinions on the matter.
EXPOSED – for extra sensitive skin
Exposed Acne Treatment is a treatment that users recommend especially for sensitive skin. It promotes the ability to clear up cysts and kill the P. acne bacteria that causes acne. The safety standards include mild concentrations of Benzoyl Peroxide and are not allergic to all types of skin.
It claims to avoid skin reddening and helps to make skin cells grow faster to replace the falling dead ones. The use of natural ingredients like Tea Tree Oil helps with skin health and promotion states results can be seen within a few days.
However, expect sticky feeling on your face and longer healing time if the acne is serious and covers a wide area. The price is very high but worth the quick acne removal.
PROACTIV SOLUTION
Considered one of America’s hottest selling anti-acne treatments’, their ‘clear skin’ campaign has still continued to attract their 20 to 30 year old fan base to deal with severe acne.
While working similarly to clear up pores and keep skin oil free, the negative point is that it does not get the root of the problem. Another point is that they promote a ‘rely on this always’ claim, as in if you stop using it, breakouts will not stop. A simple trip to the doctor will help you, of course.
The time for acne clear out will vary with this product. If you are lucky, acne will be gone in two days. However, skin reddening and drying will appear at first before clearing out because of high
It is the positive form of the ‘black sheep’ of acne products as it promotes to work alternative methods to deal with acne problems.
This Oxford University creation promotes the cream’s ability to stay moist over regular drying conditions and replaces with Benzoyl Peroxide with Resveratol, a natural chemical found in plants also good in killing bacteria.
Oxford Journals readily state the effectiveness of Resveratol which not only kills bacteria faster compared to similar levels of Benzoyl Peroxide, but also helps in inflamed and reddened skin and, like others, future breakouts.
Dermajuv promotes its ability to get to large and small pores deep beneath the skin and natural ingredients like Aloe for worried consumers who want cysts and scars gone forever.
While you can find random reviews of users who say yay or nay to Dermajuv, one of the negatives is that official FAQs are hard to find and their website is difficult to read. You will be searching minor customer reviews before making your decision.
Additionally, prices are high and products that work together are sold separately.
There are many products that you can find that promote fast acting over natural ingredients which are good for skin health or not. For drastic measures, a little bit of Oxy 10 or Oxy 15 works every day.
