You can do something about those acne scars. We have researched the Best Acne Scar Treatment.
I am really sorry that you have had to endure acne and also
potentially scarring. The good news is that there may now be something that can
help you to recover.
In order to find the best acne scar treatment and to
get the best results you must spend a great deal of time researching the options
available - Tazorac & FRAXEL will not be for everyone.
One warning is that on our website we don't want to give
anyone misleading results as we understand how upsetting this matter can be.
Most people will need more than one method of acne scar treatment. Few patients
see a 100% improvement, but don't lose hope as many people have seen a 70-80%
improvement which can be life changing.
The best thing we can
suggest is that you ask to meet some of the other patients that your doctor as
treated before. Make sure they are genuine and ask them tonnes of questions.
Don't just settle with before and after pictures or believe the first thing you
hear. Grill your doctors and visit a few for a consultation to find the best
acne scar treatment for you
Here are some of the main acne
scar treatments and our comments...
Acne Scar Treatment - CO2 LASER
We
have mixed reviews of this acne scar treatment. The worst has been that it
actually led to increased scarring although we are not sure that this is because
of the doctors involved or if the patient didn't follow the after care properly.
This means no touching, no sun, no makeup. You are pretty much housebound. It is
of utmost importance not to damage the newly tender skin. However, there
have been very positive results for some people. Lighter skin types may react
better than darker skin types. Skin can be red and itchy after
treatment but with the correct treatments this can be controlled. We have heard
good (and genuine) recommendations for Dr. Eric Egosy in Clearwater Florida and
also Dr. Hilinski of San Diego, CA (please do your own micro research
please).
Acne Scar Treatment - TAZORAC
This involves massaging the scars daily for
several minutes at a time with Tazorac. In conjunction you can use a Glycolic Acid toner
if possible to help exfoliation even more. Tazorac may help the scars to fade.
Tazorac won't work overnight - it may take months (do it EVERY DAY - don't miss
any) but you could obtain a significant improvement with this
method. A bit of an oddball acne scar treatment but Tazorac may well do the
trick.
Acne Scar Treatment - FRAXEL
FRAXEL has been recommended as the best acne scar
treatment by many people. FRAXEL can be painful as it is often used on a
high setting to get strong results and you will need to stay at home and
recover. However, FRAXEL can be expensive ($3000 US)
and some patients have reported no great improvement.
Please tell
us your suggestions below and we can help others to get to the truth! Please also share your thoughts on Tazorac & FRAXEL. Thank
you and stay positive!

The best natural way to treat scars is to apply Vitamin E directly on the scar itself. This will help in producing more collagen (protein) and when new collagen is produced, new cell growth is accelerated to fade away your scars. Taking Vitamin E orally does not help so much because very little of the goodness is distributed to the skin and face. Go for serum or creams which shows very high concentration of natural Vitamin E as the ingredient. Make sure they are no chemical substitute which may cause unwanted side effects.
One such product you may try is Natur E scar serum (which i found to be a wonderful product that works). It is a natural product containing 28000 iu of Vitamin E, hence safe of side effects - yet it works. You can find out more on www.scarremovaltreatment.net.

I have BAD acne and I have just started the Dianette pill and am also using Dalacin T topical Solution. I already have scaring from past spots and know when this load of fresh ones go I will be left with many more scars. I just want to say, no matter how bad scars on your face are, there are many MANY worse things in life. I read a post somewhere above mine saying someone wanted to kill themselves because of their scars! Just think how many worse things could be in your life which aren't. You have internet access for a start- Many people have no homes to live in, no clean drinking water etc... Afew red marks / pot holes on the face are nothing compared to this. Please please never feel like this again. You are much luckier than lots of people all over the world!

Spironolactone improved my acne by 99%. A variety of lasers & peels merely gave me a temporary overall improvement in skin quality -did little for acne scars. It's not worth the miserable recovery and expense. I get the same result from a combo of high concentrations of retin-A, glycolic acids & antioxidants. Obagi Nu-Derm when I can afford it. An injectable filler is the only thing that nearly eliminates (temporarily) pitted acne scars -helps to have a derm that's good at it.

Wow, it amazes me how many people are suffering just like me.
I have finally excepted my skin will never be the same, but I can improve it and the journey continues.
I have tried microdermabrasion (not worth it) Epicuren products (helped me look younger and nice texture, but not enough to pay 400 for the system) Skin lighteners (little cost, little results) tons of glycolic peels, facials, mederma,
2 blue obaji peels (I think worked pretty ok but down time and pain s***s) and then I just had a Pixel laser treatment I am healing from now.
Acne scars can be a heartwrenching, awful, painful experience.
I always automatically, obsesively compare skin with every female I meet. Lol, so I am working on therapy, since I figure I have more control over my emotional responses that I do my acne scar treatments working or not working.

Hey I am going for the 5th fraxel, i pay as i go for 4 and the Dr gave the fifth free, I found it important to use a copper peptide product after the first 2 treatments caused some odd blistering for a month or so the copper peptide promotes remodeling and eliminates scaling and blistering each treatment built from underneath and built up collagen filling depressions from cystic acne. the surface is still rough more superficially and hopefully will clear over the last treatment, yet all the depressions are gone, and the face has good healthy glow and I a satisfied, again after care is so important to feed the cells, both in topicals as well i took protein supplements to feed the skin nutritionally

I’ve also despaired and tried everything. Among the many: Micro-dermabrasion (expensive)--which did help me control my acne, but only while I was doing it. The CO2 laser last December (expensive)--my skin is just settling down now. Some scars have flattened, but not disappeared. Just today I have had several "ice pick" scars on both cheeks removed with subcision (free). The cost for my plastic surgeon was $310AUD, but every cent was rebated through MediCare (which is Australia’s public health system). Hopefully this will get rid of them once and for all. Fingers crossed! :)

I just got the co2 laser...a lot of vinegar-soaking and had to take off ten days min for recovery.my skin shed off like a snake, and I can see some improvement already. but keep in mind that results are attained with time. your skin has to rebuild its collagen stores to improve scarring...I'll keep everyone updated on the results.btw it was $4500!!!

i have a couple of acne pock mark scars on my face that im currently trying to get removed by going to a cosmetic dermatologist. my treatment plan is combination microderm with face peels. so far i have had one microderm, and 3 face peels.. so far ive only gotten little results. although the rest of my skin looks gorgeous im still waiting to see if these scars will show significant improvement by the time my treatment plan is over.. i was promised that i would see a significant improvement even if its not 100%... so far i see like a 40% improvement... i hope this will work :(

Hi to all, I had what seemed to be eternal acne, and I too am left with scars, but my acne did abruptly stop through accident. 10 years ago I suddenly realized how much I love animals, and so I completely stopped eating meat and dairy. I unexpectedly noticed my skin clear up. No zits! It was about 3 years later that I had a cheese pizza and again broke out (I loved pizza). I did find that I can eat eggs without a problem, but I refuse to eat an animal.(eggs are just a menstrual cycle. Ha) I do believe it's the dairy that ca** acne in many unknowing victims. If you give this a try, please be aware that dairy is in almost every packaged food. Soybutter tastes great.Soy cheese BLAH! Learn to read labels. If you see lactose or whey in the ingredients, that's dairy. I would recommend that if you try this, then go full force by completely cutting all dairy out for at least 2 weeks to clean out your system and then see if it works for you too.It is also a great way to loose weight. Good Luck to All.

Carol, When you did all this stuff did you really look into it? It sounds pretty severe what your describing here on on the forum. Please let us all know how everything is for you now. The co2 isnt suppose to put patches on your face. Its actually pretty good for some people. Hope your doing well. Sorry to hear it didn't work for you.

Hi Lisa NYC,
Same as you I ve very bad scars on my cheeks from cystic acne too + big pores. I am 32 and soooo tired and sad still to have to deal with this problem.
I finally had my co2 laser session 9days ago.To be honest with you I see a very little improvement but I was expecting much more than this. I should probably be patient and look at the results in few months time.Do you know how long do I need to wait to see the final results? At the moment I feel like I have wasted my money (2500euros) and hate to look at me in the mirror! I will definately go for another session or different treatment when my skin will be ready for it. I cannot live with this face forever!Wish you all the best!

I have pop mark scarring from cystic acne on my cheeks and chin. And I've tried it all. 1 Chemical Peel, 1 acid fruit peel, 1 microdermabrassion, 2 Dermabrassions, 3 Fraxel Laser treaments. 1 CO2 laser and as I look in the mirror I'm surprised I still have a face!! unfortunately I still have acne pop marks. Imagine all the disappointments. The Dr.'s I feel are informed on what treatments work. When offering these options Dr.'s should say this does not clear your skin. Maybe miniminze marks 15% but these treatments do not help cystic acne scars. There has to be a real dr. with wisdom, pride & honor with a goal to help people with my condition. Until then I will stay in doors to hide my oatmeal scarred face.

Hi. I have been using Tazorac (tazarotene) which is know in Europe as Zorac for 2.5 years. I was applying it almost every single night. I have to say that my scars got a bit better, after shaving skin looks pretty normal which is really life changing. Unfortunately they didn't disappear and that's why I decided to get Fraxel treatment. Yesterday I had my first procedure. I am going to have four treatments. I hope that Fraxel in conjunction with Tazarotene will help me to reclaim normal skin which is all I want...
Best regards,
Stefaan

I had one treatment of acne lazer, and now that i think of it it wasnt really that bad, but that one treatment ruined my life! I now have aever cystic acne on my lower face the only place i got lazer. The lazer also made more dents in my face and the lady burnt me to boot! I am so depressed now i used to be so pretty and had a good life and now i stay at home and hide. I think the lazer did nothing but scar me and cause way more acne. I really wish i had someone to warn me not to get it done. But ont he bright side i have a super nice husband who loves me anyway ;) I really do wish i could turn back time. I can only hope now that this acne goes away and th scars eventually fade.

i had severe ice pick scars, and craters and ckicken pock scars am 34 and still got zits. I had 1 co2 lazer, 2 artecoll injections, 4 fraxels, and will say I have a 60% improvement, and no more acne.I have spent 8000.00 and will spend maybe 4 grand more but should have 100% improvement after the co2 fraxel. I recommend dealing only with a world renound dermatologist, like a professor or the head of a dermatology department in a university hospital. this way you will get the results you pay for otherwise you are throwing away your money and could make it worse.

I had a ProFractional laser treatment last October. I am 50 yrs old, and have lived w/mod-severe acne scarring all my adult life. My dermatologist told me that this great new laser treatmt would greatly improve my scarring, though it certainly would not be a miracle cure.
I was excited (and anxious) to have the procedure. I feel the procedure (probably the dr.) has DISFIGURED MY FACE!
I have patches where the laser made "divets", ruining contours of my cheekbones, and giving me much more severe scarring than I had had before the procedure.
I went to a plastic surgeon a few months later, and she injected Radiesse (filler) to try and fill some of the scars. Didn't work, and I developed a "cyst" of Radiesse that may take mos.... to resolve.
Then went to a new dermatologist and had a TCA chemical peel 25% (he knew of my history). Now I have even more "divet" patches.
Needless to say, when I look in the mirror I feel hysterical and hopelessly ugly.
I would sue the first dermatologist, but feel I wouldn't be successful in receiving any compenstation (at least it might pay for psychological damage).
Is there anyone who has had this procedure, and had these results??

Hi, i tried fraxel for acne scarring. i saw about 15% improvement after six high setting sessions. I don't think it's worth the money you pay. But then those of us with scarring know any kind of improvement is exciting. Also, fraxel has worked better than microbrassion, facials, accupuncture and minimal basic stuff. My next step now will have to be the C02 laser. After that i will stop. At some point i'll have to be happy with who i am and live life and enjoy it instead of spending ALL my money on acne scarring.....hopefully i see some improvement with the C02. Best of luck to everyone else out there. I do want to tell you though, i work in the fashion style industry, i see gorgeous people in London everyday and i honestly never in my life looked at someone with acne scarring and thought they were unattractive or ugly. I barely worried about my own skin till i dated someone who told me they couldn't love me because of it. I guess this is more about their mental problems than my own physical ones, unfortunately it did leave me with a complex. I think it is great to try to be the best you can be, but at some point you need balance in your life and to put things in perspective. We'll probably all get over scarring just in time to deal with wrinkles lol..... :)

I have had sensitive skin since I was a young girl and ever since I started working, it has gotten worse. My job requires me to do a lot travelling and keep long hours. As such, my sensitive skin developed acne over time and with my busy schedule, I haven’t had time to fully attend to it. I consulted many beauty therapists over the years with varying results. Some treatments even made my skin reddish and itchy due to their chemical contents! A friend recommended Rosa T to me a few months back and I was really sceptical initially as I thought it was “just another beauty product”. Well, I have never been so happy to be proven wrong in this case. After the first few times using Rosa T, I began to notice a marked difference on my skin. It wasn’t as oily nor reddish as before and it gradually cleared off my acne until it’s hardly noticeable today. Best of all, due to the all natural ingredients, my skin is now healthy and gives off a natural glow, something which eluded me for many years. Today, I am a very loyal and dedicated user of Rosa T and gladly recommend this product to all my friends. Thank you Garden of Eden for the marvellous Rosa T! You can purchase it online now http://www.acne-treatment.cc.
Thank you
