Caffeine
Caffeine– Caffeine has been regarded and disregarded as a cause of acne breakouts. Sometimes, the stimulants that cause hormone production to work faster are the reason for excess sebum oil. Other times, caffeine-containing products have food additives and preservatives that are allergic and causes skin rashes. The caffeine quickens the rate of rash.
As hormones are mostly considered the cause of acne, caffeine stimulates the body and forces stress hormones to work faster. They include the sweat glands that will oversecrete the oily layer and trap bacteria. It is noted that too much sugar can also form some bacteria, leading to the association of the two.
Sufferers that blame caffeine normally have either really mild acne or serious acne rosacea. Caffeine lowers vitamin intake and less vitamins means no healthy sources to clear up acne. Caffeine also affects your liver and taking in too much means fewer toxins are removed which can lead to some bacteria travelling along the blood to the inner layers of the skin.
Caffeine is still important but take it in moderation as there is still no direct connection to acne breakouts. If it does happen, it’s likely another ingredient in the mix.
