Oil-Free Moisturizers and Cleansers

JOHN ALEXANDER L. NICOLAS

It is important to keep your skin healthy when putting on medication that make you feel like your skin is burning off (which it probably is). Moisturizers and cleansers are needed to prevent dry or reddened skin so it can ‘cool down’.

We have previously provided our take on some product brand important for good oil-free brands and effective cleaners.

Here are a few more products that have had equal good and bad reviews but still worth the try for any user.

Olay Regenerist UV Defense Regenerating Lotion SPF 15

This is a good moisturizer to use when constantly under the sun which can flake the skin using acne medication. It contains some minor proteins that rebuild the skin cells when hit by ultraviolet radiation. It also works in removing small blemishes and red marks that appear using medicine and makes the skin less itchy so you won’t scratch it.

The moisturizing lotion works or oily and non-oily skin type and okay for most sensitive skin. Although,  there is a high level of fragrance to give it a appealing color and spell which may be allergic to some. Be sure it is okay before buying.

Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel

Not to brag on the title but it applies to the packaging and the size. The gel is housed in a spray bottle-like container that gives colorless gel that works as well as a good moisturizer but without the need to towel off the excess.

It focuses on providing anti-oxidants to the skin so as it is easier to kill the bacteria while rebuilding skin cells in the inner layer to push off the excess dry layer. This is useful for temporary moisturizer in small places.

One bad point is that this does not contain sunscreen so it won’t work as well under intense sunlight. Feel free to use any sun-block but in small amounts. Or just stay indoors for a bit.

PhytoMe Gentle Cleansing Gel

Dirt, minuscule dirt and excess sebum oil is wiped clean using this gel which works using either simple tissue or cotton swab. It can be used 2 – 3 times a day which is best put after any strenuous activity.

Although it promotes that it will not dry easily, environment is a factor of how fast it does so don’t be alarmed if it dries too quickly on a hot summer day. This can also be used as an everyday cleaner after baths.

Clarins One-Step Facial Cleanser

Clarins brand focuses heavily on cheap products with high results like its counterpart Clean and Clear. This cleanser works best for acne sufferers who require makeup for work constantly yet cannot stand the itchiness of your basic foundation.

Both a toner and makeup remover, it works deeper in the skin for the absorbed cosmetics deep in the layers that are still stuck between miniscule hairs which can grow bacteria. Oily form or not, it will not further block pores but it may show some shininess during the day time and orange extract can be irritating at first.
